There are eight Georgia Aquarium exhibits for visitors to explore. Each exhibit imitates a particular habitat and is home to a few of the largest sea animals in the world.
Aquanaut Adventure: A Discovery Zone consists of several smaller exhibits and hands-on activities. This exhibit will help the visitors understand how aquatic life survives in extreme environments. Visitors will explore the marine and freshwater habitats and understand what it takes to build a career in the aquatic and marine sciences. After a stroll around this exhibit, you will have a deeper appreciation for the oceans, lakes, and rivers, and a basic understanding of how the animals thrive there.

Cold Water Quest is home to several fishes and mammals from some of the coldest regions on Earth. It features a crawl tunnel with pop-up windows where guests not only can see their favorite sea animals but also interact with them. This exhibit also holds several presentations and encounters for the visitors to enjoy. Observe how trainers train sea otters, watch the African Penguins waddle, or learn about the marine conservation efforts for the beluga whales.

Ocean Voyager is the largest exhibit in Georgia Aquarium that houses whale sharks – the largest fish in the world. This exhibit features a 100-foot-long tunnel underwater where guests can watch marine animals from all sides. You will also encounter 185 tons of acrylic windows including the largest viewing windows in the world here. As a result, the visitors have lots of opportunities to observe these aquatic animals when they explore the exhibit.

Sharks! Predators of the Deep is the newest exhibit added to the aquarium and is one of the largest shark exhibits in North America. The exhibit displays a deep tank that is home to apex predators where you will learn about all the challenges faced by the sharks and their role in the health of the ocean. There is a diving cage also available in this exhibit for visitors to interact with the sharks and a wading pool to walk with the rays and zebra sharks.

Head over to the mesmerizing Dolphin Coast exhibit where you will come across the Aquarium’s pod of Common Bottlenose Dolphins. It is the second-largest exhibit in the Georgia Aquarium and holds around 13 dolphins. Visitors can watch the dolphins in the gallery or in the Dolphin show, a 30-minute show where you will learn fun facts about this marine animal and see a live training demonstration.

One of the first exhibits in the aquarium, Southern Company River Scout is the only freshwater gallery here. This exhibit features an overhead North American river, waterfalls, and logjams. Watch the regional environment and encounter freshwater animals from Asia, Africa, and South America as well. Learn more about the river creatures and the importance of keeping the rivers clean for the benefit of these animals in this exhibit.

Tropical Diver recreates the tropical Pacific coral reef and is home to thousands of colorful reef fishes and living corals. This reef habitat is the largest habitat in this exhibit with 164,000 gallons of water and features Indo-Pacific tropical fishes. It is a relaxing end to your aquarium visit and the exhibits have been arranged in a form of living art where you will encounter garden eels coming out of the sand.

Meet the charming California Sea Lions in the Truist Pier 225 exhibit of Georgia Aquarium. In this exhibit, you can see these animals up close and watch the trainers interact with these pinnipeds. You also learn about the dangers of their natural environment along with environmental factors that tend to have a huge impact on them. You can also join the scheduled presentations – Under the Boardwalk – to learn more about these adorable creatures.

Georgia Aquarium exhibits offer different experiences and encounters to the visitors. Here, they can enjoy close interaction with the marine animals and learn more about their habits.
Interaction with includes penguins, dolphins, sea otters, sea lions, manta rays, and other animals who live at the aquarium. You can play and feed these animals under the guidance of a professional. You will also learn in detail about how the aquarium takes care of these sea animals as well as the conservation initiatives taken up by the aquarium.
Wear a wetsuit and interact with the fearsome whale sharks and manta rays. Shark Cage Dive is the perfect way to meet the sharks while being safe in the confines of a cage. The daredevils can choose to snorkel or scuba dive in the Ocean Voyager exhibit, where you can swim with manta rays and whale sharks.
Georgia Aquarium’s Behind the Seas Highlight Tour is a great chance to visit the backstage of the popular exhibits where you can get a closer look at the aquarium animals. This way, you will be able to interact with the animals and learn more about what goes behind the stage including how the staff takes care of these animals.
In Dolphin Presentation, marvel at the intelligence and athleticism of these beautiful creatures. The Waddle Walk showcases African penguins waddling across the main Atrium. Under the Boardwalk showcases the talent of the California sea lions and how they work together. Watch the ocean from the perspective of the sea animals by attending a show at the 4D Theatre. Or get transported back in time to observe prehistoric marine animals in the Virtual Reality Simulator.
Spend a night at the Georgia Aquarium and count the fishes as you go to sleep. In this experience, you get to sleep beside the gallery windows in one of the Georgia Aquarium exhibits. You will also have access to the presentations, guided tours, fun activities, complimentary snacks, and breakfast. The Minimum age requirement for sleepovers is 7 years old and any guests under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
